1) The Purdue OWL is an Online Writing Lab that provides a variety of writing resources, including grammar, for beginning to advanced writers. Because grammar is an essential element of writing, I have provided you the website below. This site contains thorough explanations and exercises on topics such as subject-verb-agreement, parallel structure, prepositions, and many others. If you want a site that has many grammar topics, this is it.

2 ) Learn English is another site that focuses specifically on grammar; it specifically discusses simple, compound and complex sentences, it shows the mechanics of subjects and predicates, and it explains more complex grammar terminology, such as objects, complements, and adverbials. If you are intrigued about the way sentences are constructed, you will want to see this website.
Overall, this site provides extensive information and examples of how to build a sentence, topping it off with the anatomy of a sentence--whatever that means...check it out and you'll see.
3) COMMAS AND OTHER PUNCTUATION MARKS-- Commnet.edu provides a comprehensive outlook towards COMMA usage. If you want to learn more about how and when to use the widely used "comma", check out the website below. It displays ten different rules for comma usage, exercises for each rule, and several quizzes to practice your comprehension. Comma rules and other punctuation usage are displayed in a clear and concise format.
This site is easy to navigate, so I warn you--you will not want to stop learning how to use the comma. Enjoy!
4) SUBJECT VERB AGREEMENT The following website shows and tells the dynamic rules that comprise subject verb agreement. The author of this site provides a youtube video of her lecturing on SVA--it's pretty cool. SVA consists of making the subject agree with the verb; there are a variety of ways we can make the subject of the sentence agree with the action or state of being, as you'll learn on this website.
Take some time and complete some of the quizzes provided here and become SVA masters. Oh...the authors blog is also great---lots of topic we cover in class are discussed.

As you know, the art of persuasion surrounds our lives daily, so it is an essential skill in any field. Persuasive writing involves building an opinion that you can strongly support. I won't give you too much on persuasive writing because the website below does just that. It provides you countless persuasive essays, outlines, and topics that you will enjoy.
